Behind the Scenes with NANDA and the making of, “THE JACKET”

Created with Admarket’s flickrSLiDR.
All week a crew has been tirelessly working on setting up “THE JACKET” NANDA’s first full length show. From putting in floors to placing lights and projectors to fixing catastrophes like non-existent merchandise orders. The show must go on, the crew must go on, so here is a sneak peek at the people it is taking to put this show together, which opens TONIGHT! Shows run through June 5th Thursday through Sunday.

NANDA THE JACKET

I have been photographing the creation of Nanda’s show, THE JACKET, this week, which will début this Thursday at the Wheeler Theater. Here are just a few shots of behind the scenes.

Spring unfurls in Olympic National Park

Created with Admarket’s flickrSLiDR.

Here is an exploration of a northwest spring. Some people say looking through a lens separates them from the real world, I disagree. I never feel more connected that when I’m flopped on my belly looking at the fresh tendrils of a five inch high forest. This slide show is the product of two days wandering in Olympic National Park, with nobody on my tail telling to move faster,or make base-camp.

ReCyclery Rhody Parade Entry

If you want to see more photos of the Re-Cyclery in the parade I’ve got a web gallery up at the following link. Very fun event!

BIKE SCHOOL

Bike School,
Two students work with teacher Chauncey Locklear on break pad placement during practical training in “BIKE SCHOOL,” I’m hoping to do a story on the PT Re-Cyclery and their community projects soon.  Kids learn hands on bike mechanic skills on Mondays, some of them even volunteer on Saturdays when the Re-Cyclery shop is open to the public to learn and fix their own bikes. More photos coming soon.
